I just completed a move to a different household, I plugged everything in and went to boot up, and the system tells me……no operating system found, what do I do to get my windows 98 to boot up……….
There was no battery backup in it’s location and the power was off for 24 hours…….
Thanks, turns out that the teenager removed the completely removed the hard drive right out of the cabinet, I didn’t even look until yesterday…..and yep, it’s gone……..nice

Randy W asked:

I had it plugged into a power supply, but not a battery backup. This morning when I woke up I saw my alarm was flashing so I assumed we lost power for a little bit, and my computer was off. Now when I go to turn my computer on nothing happens, the fans dont turn or anything. Im pretty sure its the power supply, but would like to confirm with someone who knows more about the issue than me. Does it sound like its just the power supply? or is my whole computer fried?

Where can i find?

About 6 weeks ago I met this amazing girl named Janie at the mall. I remember initially bumping into her (literally!) and noticing that she was wearing the same t-shirt as me (one of those Old Navy logo print shirts). It was obvious we clicked and I asked her out.

Fast forward to this week, I was at school and I have this assignment due. I’d been up all night sunday and monday working on it, since it was just assigned that friday and was a MAJOR part of my grade. I finally got it finished at literally like 4:30am on Tuesday and decided to get a couple quick hours of sleep before popping out of bed again to shower and head down to school.

Well of COURSE, the power goes out in my neighborhood and apparently my alarm clock doesn’t have a battery backup! I wake up almost NOON, long after the class ended for which this assignment was due (first period Hypovertebrae Biology).

Should I tell her? I like her a lot, but I need to be able to trust her, you know? Any perspective would be great!
lol, I’m an idiot. I left out the most important part of the question. Sorry to anyone scratching their head over this. :)
What I should have mentioned was that I only have the biology class on tuesdays and thursdays, so getting the assignment in on wednesday wasn’t an option. We shifted over to a “block schedule” at my high school when I was a sophomore, and ever since then, classes are like 2 hours long 3 times a week, instead of 1 hour long 5 times a week.

More importantly, since this class was at the end of the day (like 1:30-3:30), I wasn’t likely to get a chance to talk to the teacher any earlier than that on thursday. From his perspective, that’d be so much extra time that I can’t imagine he’d accept it, and if he did, he’d probably knock me down a full letter-grade at least (he’s used a similar policy before).

The teacher is a cool guy, but it’s he’s very strict when it comes to matters like this. I respect him, though, I just wish I hadn’t put this off so much.
Sally: Sorry, I should have mentioned– Janie and I go to completely different schools, so I don’t think she’d really care either way regarding the assignment. I mean, I still did put a lot of work into it, and I think she’ll respect that more or less.

A major conundrum - is she being honest with me?

whitesox355672 asked:

My battery backup on my PC has been making a clicking sound. It has done this twice now in the last 3 weeks, both times it’s happened was when the weather was bad outside — really windy a few weeks ago and really stormy today. Then a battery icon pops up in my icon list and it says 30 minutes of battery time remaining? I will unplug the battery backup and plug it back in and the clicking goes away. Anyone have an idea what’s wrong with it? We’ve had it for 3 years.

Can I add a “CyberPower 425VA/230 Watt” battery backup system SAFELY to my standard bedroom electric outlet?
