Matt asked: I have a 2002 Explorer and the battery will periodically die for no reason at all. Every time I turn off the engine, I try to make sure everything is off. And like once every couple of months, I will be surprised with a dead battery. I am on my 3rd battery and they all have done the same thing. I was wondering if it was the computer causing the battery to go dead.

winback asked: I drive a 1992 Acura Integra. I want to buy a battery charger and booster pack for it.
I just checked my battery and I cannot find the voltage anywhere on it…does anyone know where to find this? Or can someone tell me based on the car I drive? My manual will not specify my battery specs.
For my booster pack: I’ve noticed they come with varying amps- how do I know which one is right for my car?

calories asked: The battery on my generator just went dead so I hooked the battery charger onto it. I’m not sure if the battery is fully charged yet. Will the generator charge the battery up the rest of the way if I have enough charge to get the engine started?? I didn’t know if the generator worked similarly to a car charging the battery with the alternator. Thanks for your help!!

DevilWoman27 asked: I have an ‘07 Mustang I bought new. It has less than 27,000 miles on it. I’ve been informed that it needs a new battery, but it seems like this NEW battery in a NEW car didn’t last very long. I’ve bought used cars with the original battery that lasted longer - a 3 yrs old car with over 70,000 miles on it, drove for 2 more years on the original battery. So how long SHOULD a car battery last?
Thank You for your answers - glad I bought that extended warrenty!

Legendary asked: How to save the battery on a battery wireless mouse with no power button? I have a Microsoft 5000 mouse and I usually leave my PC on 24/7. Will this be constantly killing the battery, or is the battery barely used with the mouse is in idle state?

penyak asked: The guy at Best Buy this afternoon told me that an extension cord results in wasted energy and it was better to buy a surge protector with a long cable (more expensive) rather than hook up an extension cord to a surge protector with a short cable (less expensive option). Assume the total cable length is the same. He didn’t hide the fact that he wasn’t sure of his physics but to me it just doesn’t work.

adam s asked: I want to buy protection for some high end DJ equipment, and was wondering if it was worth it. A surge protector i need would cost around $25, as opposed to one with a power conditioner in it for ~$100.
Is it worth the extra $75?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the great answer! Ill just buy a regular power strip!
