Are there any Telephone Line Technicians out there?

And if so they would most likely be 12V gel cell type. The kind I need. Which also means they would most likely replace them on a regular bases.

Since I’m trying to build this EV with as much recycled material as possible I’d like to get my hands on some of them batteries.

As I recall, phone company batteries are *huge*. They aren’t the small 12-volt batteries that you’re thinking about - they’re long-life, 48-volt, lead-acid batteries.

The batteries that the telco uses are flooded 2V cells, in banks of 12 to create -48V. These cells are quite large, the ones we used were 12×4x22 inches each.
