What i believe it is is that you had it continuously plugged in or if you unpluged it before its fully charged. For example, if you plug it in and charge it until its at 50% power then unplug it to change rooms then plug it in again, after doing this multiple times, the battery life begins to deteriorate. Also, when it becomes fully charged, instead of keeping it plugged it, you're supposed to unplug it, let the battery die again, then re-plug it in. The only solution i have is buy a new battery, and dont keep it plugged in unless the battery is dead. It's difficult to pinpoint a problem like this without testing the unit. You might want to contact Dell and ask them if there's anyone authorized in your area who can test it. Or just look around and find a local shop that can at least troubleshoot the issue for you. You should still be under warranty, so Dell will have to fix it. Don't take it to Geek Squad.
