battery problem?

fellas, i have a 95 gmc pick up truck full size. the problem is that i cant get the red wire off… i can get the black wire off… just not the red wire. the bolt or screw or whatever it is just will not turn to come out. i mean it can turn. but the red wire turns with it at the same time. soo is there any way i can do something to diconnect the red wire from the battery soo i can swapp it out.

    If you are trying to get the lug off a top terminal battery, the auto parts store sell a puller to pull it off, if its a side terminal just hold the wire while turning the bolt, if its stripped use a pair of vice grips. hoyt

    let me guess you have side terminals. the bolt is corroded. try holding up on the cable while you trying to loosen it. i hate to tell you this but when and if it comes out it might bring the terminal on the battery out too which you will need a new battery. bandit_60
