What is the proper battery cable connection when jumping two automotive batteries?
(A) Negative to Negative / Positive to Positive
(B) Negative to Positive / Negative to Positive
(C) It doesn’t matter on 12-volt automotive batteries

THE ANSWER IS….A… IF YOU DO IT ANYOTHER WAY THE BATTERIES WILL EXPLODE, AND YOUR GOING TO THE MOON john r

the ans is ( a ). but to be more careful it should be the car thats running should put it neg to chasis ground.good luck. william v

positives connected to each other and negative on the car be used to jump to chassis on the car getting jumped.
next time try reading the directions
option A is used to charge the battery, option B will cause BIG problems, i won’t even touch option C Jonathan M

(D) None of the above…..
1. Connect positive to positive….on both batteries,
2. Donor car/negative on battery
3. Receiving car/negative to good block ground. (engine ground) Breeze
