		<description>The proprietary Li-ion batteries made for the major brand camera companies have current controllers and over charging protection circuits in them.  I know of no generic that does.  IF the generic were to damage your camera, the camera will most likely not be covered under your Olympus warranty.

Spend the few extra dollars and buy the real deal.</description>
