		<description>Yes it will defeat the purpose of the "special" surge protector.  Surge protectors usually have three sets of "protection"  Hot to Neutral, Hot to Ground and Neutral to Ground.  Without the ground connection you loose 2/3rds of your protection.  Call in an electrician to wire up a proper outlet.</description>

You say you have a two prong surge protector...Are you sure it is a surge protector and not a just a power bar?

Anyway, if there are not any 3 prong wall plugs in your house, you have no option. Plug the special Surge into the other one that is plugged into the wall.
It may work as a surge protector, It may not.</description>
