can i use the battery from my old cell phone?

battery backup
haley campesinos! asked:

so i had a blackberry pearl and i dropped it in a glass of water and without thinking i decided to blow dry it. i know not smart. well the phone still turns on, it’s just the screen that doesn’t work because i tried to phone someone and it worked and it vibrates all the time still. i got a new a blackberry pearl and i was wondering if i could use the battery from my old one as like backup for my new one. the reason i thought it wouldn’t be a good idea was if there was like any mold or water damage or erosion or whatever on my old battery that could ruin my new blackberry. i’m only asking this because i talked to a lady about my memory card and she said i should clean it before putting it in my new blackberry.
thanks!

If the blueberry pearl was a touchscreen phone then the battery might still work. Its worth trying - but make sure you check the battery is completely dry - otherwise you’ll damage the new model. The SIM card should be squeaky clean too - if its wet at all it will ruin the new handset.
    Good luck!
