asked: Would it be possible to substitute a thin watch battery for a AA battery in a disposable camera because we found that the camera does not need the whole AA battery. Also, would it be possible to charge the flash by winding the same part used to advance the film? This is for a school project and if you have any other ideas on how to improve a disposable camera, it would really help. Thanks.
We are supposed to make the camera cheaper and more sustainable so if we could eliminate parts that could be substituted for smaller parts, it could make the camera smaller, thus cheaper.

chicabori_2nv asked: I have an Olympus 5.0 megapixel digital camera and every battery I’m using, the camera just eats them. It takes AA batteries. The batteries I’m using now are basic Duracell’s. I’m looking for suggestions on the best brand of batteries that can give my camera more life. Thanks in advance!

Diane asked: My digital camera is a Canon Powershot A530. I use Duracell’s batteries for it, but after I take about 20 pictures, it starts to act up and says to change the batteries, and will take maybe one picture, then shut off on its own. I’ve gathered that maybe the batteries I use are not compatible with my camera, but I don’t know which batteries are. If you happen to know which battery works well with this kind of camera, well please answer.

Thanks.

I <3 Jonathan Davis asked: I am going to buy a backup battery for my camera on ebay, I have found one that is made for my model of camera and has all the same specifications apart from the capacity.
The capacity on my current battery is 740mAH and the capacity on the new one is 680mAH.
What does it mean by capacity and does it matter that the new one will have a slightly lower capacity?
Thanks

jphillip28 asked:
It isn’t under warrenty anymore and I don’t have the cash to have it fixed. When you turn in on the screen is black, but it isn’t the screen because you can look at previos pictures. When I take a picture and I am looking into the lense I can’t see the shutter move, I have looked at another S2IS that works and I could see it. Does anyone know how to fix this, if it is fixable. Also, I did try to reset it by taking out the batteries and the backup battery and draining all power. Still doesn’t work. Thanks…

Stacy J asked: Hi! I have an Olympus cam which uses a lithium ion 42B proprietary battery. Anyway, since I don’t like the idea of having just one battery pack, especially for long trips, I saved up for another one. Unfortunately, the nearest convenience store only sold a generic one. It’s made by this company called SDV. The dealer gave me their website: http://www.swisscophoto.com.sg/battery.htm
Anyway, just would like to know if there are any negative effects of putting non-Olympus batteries in an Olympus cam? I mean I’ll only use this as backup (i.e. when my primary runs out of juice and at least my camera stays active while it’s being charged) so I already know that it won’t be as powerful as an original battery.
Other disadvantages?
Thanks
