Shawn asked: I have 2 12″ Kicker Comps with a Kicker 500 Watt Mono Amp. My battery drains and makes my start up on my truck lag and i have to give it gas in order for it to start up. Should I get another battery, alternator, or better battery like a optima. I have a duralast yellow top right now.

I was wondering if you can do this safely, because I think that it could be useful as a small backup power supply. Would this work with any other batteries? Thanks.

I just bought a Deep cycle battery for my amp, and I dont know how to hook it up. I had it running off the car’s battery but it was taking to much power so I bought a marine battery and I dont know what to hook what up to it.
