Skip asked: I have a 98 gmc sierra 2500 with a vortec 350. I cleaned the battery terminals & cables. It runs fine when it starts. If I let the truck sit for a couple of days without driving it the battery goes dead. I do have a remote start and stereo w/ amp also. I went to checker and had them test my battery and they said it was fine. Im not sure if I believe them or not. I am just wondering what would cause the battery to lose its power.

manerch asked: I disconnected the positive cable and put a multimeter between the cable and battery post and it was reading 10 volts. What should it read? Should I be testing for volts or ohms?

DevilWoman27 asked: I have an ‘07 Mustang I bought new. It has less than 27,000 miles on it. I’ve been informed that it needs a new battery, but it seems like this NEW battery in a NEW car didn’t last very long. I’ve bought used cars with the original battery that lasted longer - a 3 yrs old car with over 70,000 miles on it, drove for 2 more years on the original battery. So how long SHOULD a car battery last?
Thank You for your answers - glad I bought that extended warrenty!

calories asked: The battery on my generator just went dead so I hooked the battery charger onto it. I’m not sure if the battery is fully charged yet. Will the generator charge the battery up the rest of the way if I have enough charge to get the engine started?? I didn’t know if the generator worked similarly to a car charging the battery with the alternator. Thanks for your help!!

winback asked: I drive a 1992 Acura Integra. I want to buy a battery charger and booster pack for it.
I just checked my battery and I cannot find the voltage anywhere on it…does anyone know where to find this? Or can someone tell me based on the car I drive? My manual will not specify my battery specs.
For my booster pack: I’ve noticed they come with varying amps- how do I know which one is right for my car?

Matt asked: I have a 2002 Explorer and the battery will periodically die for no reason at all. Every time I turn off the engine, I try to make sure everything is off. And like once every couple of months, I will be surprised with a dead battery. I am on my 3rd battery and they all have done the same thing. I was wondering if it was the computer causing the battery to go dead.
