My ps3 has been over heating and malfunctioning. I’ve had it repaired several times. My friend told me that my outlets are too old and not sending enough power to my ps3 and it can’t cool itself off. I know using a surge protector protects from power surges, but are there any that can actually send more power than if i just plugged in my ps3 to the wall outlet?

What is your opinion on buying a surge protector? I know the higher joules it gets, the better the performance?

I’ve looked around and noticed that just about all of the battery backups they have out there are for computers. I’m just curious if I can run, say, my grandfather’s air purifying thingy on it in the event of a blackout. However, there are models that say there is software that automatically shuts down your computer? Does this mean it’ll cut my grandfather’s oxygen supply? (In the event of a blackout)
