I just bought a Brother MFC-7840W printer. I plugged its power cord into my APC battery backup and when I powered up the printer it’d turn the entire surge protector off. After reading into it, Brother said not to do this. So I plugged the printer into the bottom outlet while the top outlet is occupied by the APC surge protector. Only, when I power the printer on, the surge protector beeps periodically.

Is this a problem? Is my house going to catch on fire? Should I find another location for the printer to plug into so the surge protector isn’t beeping, even though its not going into the surge protector?

Now my USB and network connected printers won’t print. What gives?

I recently put in a USB external 500GB HDD. I tried multiple usb ports and the computer recognizes something being plugged in via the safely remove hardware screen. After trying to print I am prompted with an “error in the connection” message. After deleting the printers, the auto-find-and-install process of plug-and-play in printers and faxes panel says no printers can be found. I have all USB ports front and back plugged up with keyboard, mouse, 2 external HDDs, 1 printer (the one were talking about), APC battery backUPS and the last for the USB audio DAC link to my shelf system (essentially giant speakers). The printer has never done this until I turned on the new external HDD.

Can I run the registry backup to fix problem w/printer?

I backed up my registry before I started having trouble with printer. I get spoolsv.exe has generated errors and will be closed ,error log will be created. Also substation unavailable not enough resources. Something about target space. I have enough memory.

I also have a time/date discrepancy. I ‘ve been in BIOS and control panel, looks correct. Military time I know. Maybe the battery??

Compaq pc and printer.

I cant tell if an hp4050 printer will work with 220v?

We have quite a few of these same printers at work and we are hoping to be able to use one in a location where there is a 220V battery backup. there is no power specs on the back of the printer. does anyone know where i can find the voltage specs or if it can run on 220V thanks everyone
