Deborah S asked: Hi There,
This is an issue my battery manufacturer doesn’t know the answer to. first of all, i have a new back-up battery that is functioning fine, but in services. msc there is an option called uniterrupted power supply, by default ,it is on manual. Do i also start that service as well on automatic or leave it alone? For which battery is it for anyway, when i already have my battery listed in services.msc, and is already started? also in the display properties box, when you click the ups tab, even though my back-up is running fine, like i said, there is an error listed that shows a yellow triangle with a black exclamation point in the middle that says the ups service is currently stopped, and below it says about, and when you click the icon it says enhancement and upgrade. I have a total of 358 watts that i’m using, and my ups is 450 watts. I don’t know what is going on. your help would be much appreciated.
Thank You Very Much,
Willowby

My electricity was really bad, No one could figure out for months I had surge protection, battery backup, dedicated plug still had problem with OS and all drivers corrupted. After a long battle I got SDG&E to finally put a monitor on meter to check after 3 tests for 1 week each problem bad neutral and really bad subpanel. Now I have elec. fixed but PC wont recover. Did a recovery, reinstall tried eveything. It ’s going back to HP for bench repair but I have done this many times before & it is still corruptedwhen I get it back. Now that elec. is fixed can it be repaired by HP and ever really completely work fine? I have had to replace 14 PC’s,2 monitors,TV’s,VCR’s,DVD players, a new refrigerator, digital camera,2 cell phones,3 sets of speakers,1000’s of lightbulbs,my nerves and now 2 PC’s are going in for bench repair. Will they need replacing? or are they fixable? Dont tell me how stupid I am because I already know that .I just couldnt find anybody to believe me.

I’ve been using the Core Pocket Media Player on my Pocket PC for a while and it’s the greatest thing ever. Unfortunately, my backup battery failed and the program was wiped out. I tried to re-download the program, but their website (corecodec.org) doesn’t work. Everywhere else I look, i can only find the .exe file and not the MIPS cab installer. *i have an older pocket PC. Does anyone know where to get that program? It would be greatly appreciated. =)
