Interference with Yahoo Messenger Voice chat?

When I plug my headset into my computer and try to voice chat on Yahoo Messenger I am getting a buzzing interference in my headphones. Many devices around my computer (battery backups, routers etc) generate interference. Any guesses what is the most likely source and how I can get rid of the buzzing?
