date & time of pc don’t remain correct?

each time the pc is powered off, it’s date get back to 1/1/1996 last time I asked this and thought that the problem was solved,but it wasn’t so. even with changing of mainboard backup battery and with new pc I have the same problem

    That is the date when the BIOS was manufactured or installed in the mother boeard.Your CMOS BATTERY has gone.Change it and no problem will occur.

    The CMOS Battery is dead. On the Motherboard you will see something that looks like a large watch battery…

    That is the problem pull it out and get to the nearest computer support center (i.e. store that does repairs or upgrades) and show it to them and they will get you a new one.

    If you have done this before, the new battery might have been faulty or the Motherboard is going.

    It is not charging or intermittently not charging or somehow killing the battery.
