Dell battery problem?

I have a Dell inspiron Laptop with warranty till february 2010 bought in uk. It is not giving me the battery backup and its battery is totally dead. Now i have the laptop with me in Hyderabad,India. I have misplaced its warranty cards too but i have warranty left till february as per the del website. Is there any way i will get a replacement for my battery through any service center in hyderabad. Any help in this regard would be suitably appreciated. Awaiting a quick reply….

You do not mention transferring warranty coverage from UK to India
Hence I doubt if Dell India will take the call in the first place
No harm in contacting Dell India support to checkout
