BUT... if you did, and the battery damaged the camera, you most likely would not be covered under your warranty once they found that you had used a non-OEM battery. I know plenty of people though who use non-OEM batteries. So, it is really up to you. And if your camera is out of warranty anyway, then I guess it is just up to you if you want to risk it. I wouldn't. As much as I paid for my camera, I don't mind paying for an OEM battery instead of risking using one that isn't OEM. Well, most likely you would not have a problem.
