Do dual power calculators need battery changes?
QueAndAy asked:
Does a dual power calculator (that is, calculator that runs on solar and a battery backup for dim lighting conditions) ever need the battery changed? Or does the solar cell charge the battery to eliminate the need for a battery change? I avoided dual power calculators in the past as I don’t like to change the battery if I don’t have to. Thanks.

All batteries will eventually need to be replaced. it is not hard if you have a basic set of jeweler’s tools (little screwdrivers). However, the dual power calculator battery life will vary depending on how much you use it in dim light. Most batteries will last a couple of years o so, unless you leave it on for long periods of time in a backpack.
