Does the xbox 360’s power brick really have a surge protector in it?

I was reading about how you shouldn’t plug the xbox 360 onto a surge protector because it can damage your 360. Supposedly, the power brick has a surge protector in it?

The power supply (power brick) has several built-in safeguards to help prevent damage to either the console or to the power supply itself.
