Extra phone battery for my Lg Voyager?

If i get a extra battery for my phone (total two, the one in the phone and the extra one) Will the battery drain down if i don’t use the other battery. When my battery in the phone runs down, then when i pop the other battery in, will it be fully charged or will it be drained also? Because i want to know if it is worth getting another extra battery for backup.

It might drain a little bit but not enough to worry about. I had 2 batteries with my LG phone and I had switched them out about every month to keep the battery life going.

It depends on how often you use both batteries. If you let one sit for a few months without taking a charge, you’ll most likely notice a little bit of battery drain when you go and put it in. But if you plan on using each battery at least once a week, you won’t lose any significant charge at all.
And just keep your eyes out where you buy your battery from…a lot of times if you buy it from Verizon (which, to my knowledge, is the only carrier that uses the Voyager. I could be wrong.) you will actually get an ‘Extended Battery’, not just a normal one. They supposedly hold something like 50% to 70% more of a charge, so they last that much longer. But on the flip side, you need to get a new battery cover for them. So yeah, good luck.

I always get a spare battery and do exactly what you describe. The charged one will stay charged. Just don’t charge it to 100% and leave it sit for months on end… better to leave it dead.
One last tip - for maximum lifespan, don’t store the battery for extended periods in a fully charged state. This is because batteries develop something called a passivating layer in between uses. This is a normal and vital part of lithium ion battery chemistry - it is part of how the batteries retain their charges so long in the first place. However, if stored too long, the battery will not be able to power the device as the passivating layer will become too thick. The other way easy way to remove it - charging it - will not work as the battery is fully charged.

When you buy your spare battery, look for the brand upstart battery. They come with lifetime warranties.
