Just think most people have cordless phones in there homes. What happens when the power goes out for one reason or another (electrical fire, poweroutage, etc.) God forbid the power goes out when an intruder breaks in. with cordless phones the only thing you can do is through it at them! Now if the base of the phone had a small battery backup than you would be able to call 911 with no problem. I think this would be a great thing to have and I don’t know why they don’t have them know. I had a fire at my house resently and low and behold the phones did not work. I just think that the batteries have gotten much smaller and last longer it would be a great idea to persue this idea. thank you for your time. And please give me some credit fo the idea (although someone may have thought about it already) Thank you for your time.

Maybe you could write the company that made the failed phone. They might be able to create that, and may even compensate you somehow.

That is a great idea, but find a company who will be willing to invest money towards placing enough battery power to allow the phone to function (it is not a little amount). With so much competition in the market, phone manufacturers cannot afford to increase their prices. The only way this would occur is if the government made it into a law. That way, every single manufacturer would have to include the extra battery. Just a little economic perspective
