How do i hook up a surge protector for a computer?

You can get a power strip which has a surge protector in it.

You plug it into the wall first, then plug everything into it. If you ever unplug it, turn it off first, then plug it back in.

plug surge protector into wall, plug computer into surge protector. the phone jacks have in and out on it, you can plug those in if you want, but are you still on dial up?

Put the phone line coming out of your wall into the line-in on the surge protector, put a seperate phone line in the line-out on the surge protector and run it to the back of your computer. The plug your computer, monitor, printer and any other things you have to the surge protector, then plug the surge protector into the wall outlet. Turn on everything and enjoy. Good Luck.
