How do I reset my TI 84 Plus Silver Edition Calculator?
Brandon asked:
I need a complete reset; It has been “Garbage Collecting” for a few days. I tried taking out all of the batteries and the backup battery at the same time for more that a day, and it is still “Garbage Collecting”. Is there any way I can reset it without going to the memory menu… ie. holding 2nd and on? When it is garbage collecting i can’t quit, clear turn off the calculator, or anything… it turns off because the batteries die. How can i reset or fix this. Do I have to send it in to TI?

Hold the on/off button and the clear button down for about five seconds. Olivia

Well.. I have a TI 83 but perhaps it is done the same on yours …
above my “+” sign it says “MEM”
if you try pressing “2nd” and then “MEM” you’ll see it will give you some option and then you press “RESET” then press either “All Memory” or choose “Default” (I don’t know what “default” is on the calculater)
Hope this helps XD
