How much battery power does the light up apple on the back of a macbook use?
Taylor asked:
Me and my friend were just wondering how much battery power the light up apple on the back of a macbook uses. Obviously it isn’t a lot. We are just curious.

The Apple logo is lit using LEDs and even if there are multiple LEDs lighting it, they are still using at most a fraction of a watt. I wouldn’t be concerned about it making any kind of noticeable difference in the life of your battery. Evan

The apple light on the back is lit by the backlight of the display. You can notice that if you change the display brightness, the brightness of the apple will change as well. So the power usage is really none because you’re going to use the display backlight. T C
