your battery is failing from what information you have given me meaning you need a new one Michael

Windows may be looking at it wrongly. You might have to sync it with windows. To do this, plug out the power cable, then let the battery run out slowly. You might prefer to run it without standby, as this is faster. Then when windows Shuts down automatically depending on your settings ( preferably 2%), replug it in and the battery, altogether with Windows, will be synchronised. Another problem might be with your battery itself. If you have used it for 2 years ( maybe) you might have to get a new one as each charge of the battery will lower it’s “able to use” time. basically you used to get three hours and now you get 20 mins?

If so, then your battery is shot. Next time, if you have your battery in, and plugged into your charger at all times. thats your problem. when the charger and battery are both in they kill the battery by recirculating it all the time. if your planning on leaving it on a desk most of the time then take out the battery, not hard, it has levers to pull, and leave the charger in at all times, and just put the battery in when you need to. Just be careful when you pull the charger out, and remember the battery isn’t plugged in. LindsayH
