		<description>Well if it is a desktop I recommend leaving your computer off during thunderstorms.  I can't attest to the effectiveness of surge protectors other than the fact that I had one that didn't do its job.  My X-box got fried during a thunderstorm.

Unplugging your tv def helps in a thunderstorm because the capacitor will continually charge and uncharge rapildy until it fails or the surge passes.

You can get a surge protector at any major chain like walmart, bestbuy, circuit city.</description>
