i have a nikon d60 camera, i need a second backup battery and was wondering?

If you really need an extra battery the $54 is nothing when compared to the damage a generic battery can do to your camera. Overheating (which can damage the battery) and even explosion or fire can result is using some generic batteries.
Save your money and buy a battery grip when you can afford it.
