Everyday it beeps and goes to battery backup for a few seconds. Why is it doing this? What else should I do to ensure my electronics are safer? Thanks.

Your location could be on an unstable power supply.
What your UPS is doing could be a good thing and proves it’s doing it’s job.
If it bothers you, you can set the sensitivity to a lesser value.
