My APC battery back-up “killed” my computer. Help?

I have no idea what this means, please help me. I really need my computer for school.
No idea what a “Mobo” is, and no, I plugged the vacuum into a standerd outlet,, in the wall.

sounds like your mobo croked(more specifically the bios)… i doubt it was the battery backup though because they are made to condition the power… not unless you plugged that vacume into it too because that would cause very bad things to happen…
