		<description>I suggest you look up the manufacturer on the Internet and pose the question to them.  They will need the model number and possibly the serial number.

They have had recalls on some of their equipment in the past.</description>

		<description>Have you confirmed that the batteries are going dead (with a battery tester) or are you just inferring that from the fact that the detectors are chirping? On some detectors, if you don't seat the batteries properly they can come loose hours or days later. You may have to push the battery terminals in until they click.</description>

		<description>Sounds like you're just buying the wrong type of batteries. Mine usually don't chirp unless a battery needs replacing. Invest in really good batteries like Duracell, don't cheap out on them or they'll chirp out on you.</description>
