They will need the model number and possibly the serial number. They have had recalls on some of their equipment in the past. On some detectors, if you don't seat the batteries properly they can come loose hours or days later. You may have to push the battery terminals in until they click. Mine usually don't chirp unless a battery needs replacing. Invest in really good batteries like Duracell, don't cheap out on them or they'll chirp out on you.
