Ok my car was having a starting problem. I jumped start my car and it started right away, I turned it off. The I started my car again and I revd the engine for 10 minutes and then I turned off. I came back after an hour or two and turned on the ignition switch the car was not starting. I bought this battery a year ago, I have been in long drive with this car, and there have been times tht my was sittin for days, and never drove. Is it a battery or alternator.

My car won’t start but makes a loud continuous buzzing noise. So I got another car and jumped started it and it started right up.

I started it several times after the jump and it started right up.

An hour later, I tried to start and it wouldn’t start again and made the buzzing noise again.

The battery is about 3 years old and the light on it says it’s still good.

So will replacing the battery solve this problem or could it possibly be something serious like a starter or alternator?

I have a 1996 Honda Civic, I just bought a new battery because the old one was no good anymore (so we thought) but then this morning my car would not start again, it was completely dead again. We started the car with jump start but as soon as you tun off the car it wont start again… They already checked to see if it was the alternator and they said it was ok, what could be the problem?

A few times when I have been driving i have lost the juice from my battery, it seems if i mess with the cables it seems to start back up. I havent noticed a trend as to when it happens and i dont know where to start looking. I mad sure the connections were tight in the terminals, there is no corrosion the battery is about 2 years old maybe 3 max. Any suggestions?
Oh yeah forgot a key part of the problem, when it first happened i tried to jump the car and didnt get anything no power and nothing rolled over so i dont think its the battery or alternator but still could be, lemme know if that changes anything.

Changed the alternator and the battery is still on which is suppose to indicate a battery charging problem. The motor is idleing fast and slow fast and slow in a rhythem pattern. The part store put it on the scope and claimed the alternator is working fine.

I have 2 12″ Kicker Comps with a Kicker 500 Watt Mono Amp. My battery drains and makes my start up on my truck lag and i have to give it gas in order for it to start up. Should I get another battery, alternator, or better battery like a optima. I have a duralast yellow top right now.

I just had to have a brand new alternator and battery (best one sold - or at least most expensive - at Sears Auto which was the only shop open this weekend when car broke down). At night with lights on the battery ranges from 11.8 volts when at idle to 12.5 while driving. During the day the battery ranges from 12.2 volts to 13.1 volts. I’ve been told this is too low (especially the night voltage) with brand new alternator & battery. Could there be another problem?

I have to keep giving it gas for a while then it is ok. It runs perfect from there on. unless i unhook the battery.
It’s not the battery, had it checked twice, and its already fairly new. the alternator is good to (brand new)
i think that the ecm problem is the best solution, because i checked the alternator. but what is the best fix for that, find one in the junkyard or do i have to find a brand new one?
