They make automobile backup cameras.that are wireless remotes and run off a self contained 9 volt battery.with an in cab monitor that runs off the cigarrette lighter or somthing similar???
The backup camera is remote and wireless.It runs off a 9 volt battery .the monitor plugs into the cigarette lighter in cab and is about 2.5″.Walmart sold them about 2 yrs. ago.They cost about $90 at that time.Anything similar would be fine.

My camera is 20 years old with original “backup” battery. I recall the original dealer, long ago out of business, opening something on the camera and installing the “backup” battery. My camera is dead, have a good “normal” battery but think because the backup battery is toast, the camera will not work.
I don’t know if my assumption is correct.

Please explain how to get the “top cover” off. What side is it located as I am looking at the camera facing the lens with camera facing me. How many screws and what size is the backup battery.
