Dinesh Desh asked: whats the best way to measure & check the specific gravity of a U.P.S (inverter) battery ? which would give the accurate & appropriate result ?
1) when the batteries are charging and the unit is on
2) when the batteries are giving the backup and the unit is on
3) when the batteries are connected (whether they are charged up or discharged) to the (inverter) and the inverter (unit) is off.
4) when the batteries are not connected (whether they are charged up or discharged) to the (inverter) and the inverter (unit) is off.
thanx
but how can i get to know that my batteries are charged ? My U.P.S (inverter) doesnt have this utility to tell that the batteries are charged or not ?
so how can i get to know this ?

Jerry asked: Dear Friends,
Am using Nokia N73.There is no problem in my handset.
But my BP-6m Battery has very poor battery back up..
Its stand only 6 -8 hours with less usage.
I had changed so many batteries.
But the problem persists.
Does the mobile software is the cause for low battery backup?
I don’t know what is the reason for this problem.
Software upgrading will really help to improve the backup?
So kindly assist me to solve this problem.
Thank you.

??!! asked:
The hardwired fire alarm system goes off at night for no reason. It will go on for about 10 secs and then shut off. There has not been any chirping indicating low batteries (backup). It is not near the kitchen or heater ducts etc. Any thoughts?

nehla s asked:
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with a 9 cell battery. May I know how long the battery will be good for use. Mine is just over a year old and refuses to charge. Till four days back it gave me a backup of about 4 hours regularly, but now its stuck at 14% and not charging. Is it usual for batteries to last only so long. The warranty ran out about 2 weeks ago, so Dell wont replace the battery. It is not an OS issue as the problem is common when I am using Windows Vista and Debian.
