The battery on my generator just went dead so I hooked the battery charger onto it. I’m not sure if the battery is fully charged yet. Will the generator charge the battery up the rest of the way if I have enough charge to get the engine started?? I didn’t know if the generator worked similarly to a car charging the battery with the alternator. Thanks for your help!!

I just checked my battery and I cannot find the voltage anywhere on it…does anyone know where to find this? Or can someone tell me based on the car I drive? My manual will not specify my battery specs.

For my booster pack: I’ve noticed they come with varying amps- how do I know which one is right for my car?

I have a sump pump in my basement. The electric one works just fine. The battery back up is causing problems. The charging unit is showing no lights at all. The stickers on the unit say that if no lights are showing to reset the breaker. There is what appears to be a breaker switch on the unit. When I hit this the lines over my head in the basement (the electricity lines, I think) make a clicking sound. Note, the sump pump itself does nothing, doesn’t shake or anything. Only this loud clicking noise. Also, when I press that breaker button, the battery charging unit flashes all the lights.

The outlet where the charger is plugged is working fine. I’ve also tried to plug it in elsewhere. I bought a new battery today and connected it to the charger. No change.

The charger is an Aqua Not brand.

Any suggestions what to try. I’m at a loss.

i am building a ups, not buying one,,, the reason why i am doing that is because i want one with like 5 hours backup, here is what i have so far,,, a truck battery (145k… its really big) a dc to ac inverter (1000watts) and a 15amp charger (charger is completly manual, no cut off no nothing, just a coil that converts ac into dc) i have the changer connected to the battery and the battery+ charger connected to the inverter. everything is working great,,, when the power goes off the battery kicks in and i dont loss any data, it also works for like 4 hours on my computer setup,,, now comes the problem,,, i am worried that because of overchangering i am going to cook my battery, what should i do????

But I know the battery won’t last the length of the trip. Is there a back up battery or charger I can use while on the plane to keep my iPod charged the whole time?
