gary b asked: While driving today in the night, I noticed that the light on the LED
of the digital clock and the light of the LCD panel of the Car radio
were very dim (almost no light). The car head lights were fine. Is this
the beginning of a battery Problem or is this the beginning of an Alternator problem ? I haven’t seen that scary red light yet on the
dash board. Please help ……..

The I started my car again and I revd the engine for 10 minutes and then I turned off. I came back after an hour or two and turned on the ignition switch the car was not starting. I bought this battery a year ago, I have been in long drive with this car, and there have been times tht my was sittin for days, and never drove. Is it a battery or alternator.

Eric H asked: Hey everybody, thanks for any responses. My laptop recently stopped working. It’s some sort of battery problem. The problem is, I don’t know whether it is with the battery pack or battery charger. I was wondering if there was some way to tell which one???
It’s out of warranty and the manufacturer wanted to charge me $35 for troubleshooting or drive 85 miles to troubleshoot at one of their locations.
Thanks

John Doe asked: I have a 79 corvet that has a 383 stroker in it. I recently found that the alternator was bad. I have replaced the alternator and a new dry cell battery. I have tested both the battery and the alternator and I know that they are good. Now my problem is that the alternator still will not charge the battery. If i start the car when i jump it, it works alright but once i remove the cables the voltage on the guage starts dropping. It just wont charge. Oh by the way i cant take it to a auto repair shop becuase no one will work on a car that is over 20 years old. Where do i begin to find this problem and fix it? Any advice?

Vroom Broom asked: My car won’t start but makes a loud continuous buzzing noise. So I got another car and jumped started it and it started right up.
I started it several times after the jump and it started right up.
An hour later, I tried to start and it wouldn’t start again and made the buzzing noise again.
The battery is about 3 years old and the light on it says it’s still good.
So will replacing the battery solve this problem or could it possibly be something serious like a starter or alternator?

isexi asked: Whenever I move the cursor over the battery icon on my screen, it will say “plugged in, charging”. However, the battery charge never goes past 2-3%. I had to get a new AC adapter when my old one quit working, and this still hasn’t solved the problem. Do I need to replace the battery? I’m hoping that there isn’t a bad connection in the motherboard. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1545.
