Stephen T asked: I have a CyberPower battery backup and power surge box for my computer. The problem is when there is a bad storm and the power goes out and back on real quickly the whole system shuts down. I thought the battery backup was to stop this from happening. No lights are on the box except “power on” so there doesn’t seem to be a problem.
Why is this happening and do these boxes wear out?

Terrab asked: How can we shut it up? The lights blinking on it say it had an overload, and it’s online. The computer was off I think.
What’s wrong and how do we get it to stop?

Minuteman asked:
I need a battery backup and surge Protector to give me a few minutes run time in the event of a power failure to save files…..I have a LCD and a Intel Quad Processor. Looking for just computer and screen backup only…..modem and printers I am not worried about but, would like surge protection for those. Any current sales online or brick and mortar? What is a good brand? Are they all lead acid bateries….or do some have the new Lithium Batteries? Thanks for your help!

Barkley Hound asked:
I know that desktop computers have a little battery that keeps the clock going for years. Since a laptop has a large battery that is constantly charging does it also have a backup battery? I would think is needs something to keep the clock going when the large battery is removed.
