surge protector
Tonya asked:

I recently had a home inspection and was told that I can’t have my freezer hooked to a utility surge protector that ran through a hole in my drywall to the outer wall socket. They told me it was setup well, but that the power cord could cause an “electrical drywall fire”, I can’t find anything on the net about this. Any suggestions on this or thoughts. The house complex is the ones who drilled the hole, fire people says no????

battery back up

I live in a town home and have a sump pump. As far as I can tell, our foundations are poured concrete (although I can hear neighbor’s dog yap away when I’m in the basement-not sure what that means). We have a semi-finished basement (drywall). Is it worth it to buy a battery back-up for our sump-pump if our neighbors have none?
