Battery Backup Guide

I want to use my laptop during my 16 hours of long journey in a plane. But my laptop’s battery does not give me backup for more than 1 hour. Is their anyway that I can increase the backup time of my laptop’s battery so that I can continue doing my work because airline staff does not have any way to recharge the laptop battery. Any clue?

I bought a NEW battery.. but again it is not charging.

When i play with the adaptor lead for a while it shows charging light .. after a while it starts blinking..

if I touch my laptop or move it just a little bit.. the charging light goes off.

What could be the problem ?

I am really looking forward for some expert to help me.

My laptop DO NOT RUN without a battery, plugged into the adapter directly.

When im on the airplane, my laptop battery always runs out leaving me with HOURS of nothing to do - short of buying a backup battery, is there something i can buy that will either let me charge it on the plane or is their something less expensive than a bran new battery that could be called a disposable temporary battery?
And as a footnote, i ONLY use my laptop on the plane when the flight attendants say its ok to turn on your electronic items!!
I inquired at the airport about a wireless battery charger - more like a disposable one - does anyone have any information about that?

The battery ran out slowely slowely and I had to recharge it.
But, normally.. if my laptop is just plugged into the wall, shouldn’t it be able to just work that way, the way it usuallly does? .
The lightblub thing is normall a neon blue.
when the battery ´needs to be recharged it goes red.
the light blub thing for the wire/plug is a faded blue now, it used to be neon blue.
why is this?..

I know that desktop computers have a little battery that keeps the clock going for years. Since a laptop has a large battery that is constantly charging does it also have a backup battery? I would think is needs something to keep the clock going when the large battery is removed.
