deby asked:
the battery life of my laptop has reduced to 1 hr from 4 hrs.
is there any way that i can get it back upto that? or do i have to buy a new battery?
also i leave my laptop on for long periods of time, downloading data and working. so it is practically on 20 hrs a day. wil that reduce the performance and battery life?

travelnut asked: Last night there was a bad storm. The power didn’t go off, but if it did my laptop would’ve gone to battery backup–all my work would’ve been saved.
That got me thinking–why can’t other electronics have battery backups standard? I’m not talking about radios that you can put your own batteries into for backup. I mean, desktop computers, DVD players (so if you’ve programmed a program it’ll still record), televisions, etc.
Why don’t they build batteries into all of these commonly used electronics?

BugsySkybone asked:
I am going to be taking an international trip that involves 11 hours of flight with a layover of four hours. I am counting on my 30GB iPod to keep me entertained with books on tape, videos, etc. What can I do to charge/recharge it midflight when the battery runs out of juice 3 hours into my trip? Do they make/sell portable battery backups for iPods? Any other tips?
