Dinesh Desh asked: Is this true ? someone said to me about the dry cell battery & wet cell battery :
. Dry battery are maintenance free and you never need to check water levels or anything. If 40AH is written it will actually be 40AH, as for wet battery even if it says 65AH i can’t say if its correct.
Why i say this is because if you buy a 40AH dry battery and 40 wet battery, hook it up to a UPS. The dry battery gives almost double the backup the wet battery gives.
Dry batteries are environment friendly too, wet batteries have been banned in many countries for cars because fumes of acid are always coming out of them, thats why we never install a wet battery with a UPS, which is placed in an airconditioned room because the room is closed and people inside with the passage of time will develope some type of desease or illness because of them (which you might never notice but its true).
The only con i can think of in a dry battery used in a car is that when it goes dead it goes dead : ) its useless no matter what you do with it and you will have to replace it, sometimes only they pick charge, normally they don’t. With wet battery, you can charge them and even use almost dead battery for few months till you can buy new.
plz tell me whether this is right or not ……..
thanks all

BlankProfile asked: Have a new desktop computer in the way and wondering what most people use for surge protection and if they use backup battery protection or if this is over-kill.
Thanks in advance!

Lillian asked: I’ve noticed people ask similar questions on here about smoke detectors beeping only to receive glib, even rude, responses telling them that they need to change the batteries. Before anyone suggests that to me, I’d like you to know the alarm does NOT operate on batteries and is connected directly the wiring in my house. It doesn’t even have a backup battery (not good, but I had nothing to do with the construction of the house and until I can get an electrician to change it out for me, I’m pretty much stuck with what I have).
Now that we have that out of the way, it is made by Lifesaver, and has a “Hush” button and a “Reset” button. I have pressed both. I have reset the breaker that controls the alarm at the breaker box. Nothing has worked. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I thank you all in advance!
