Cupooterluvr asked:

I wanted to be able to use the switch outlet, but my computer’s surge protector covers up the other hole… Can I plug the surge protector into a power strip (the plug isn’t angled on the power strip) without overloading it? Nothing is changing about the arrangement of the plugs on the surge protector except that I’m plugging a lamp into the switch outlet.

I checked the battery and it reads around 5.5 Volts DC. SO I think the battery is good, it just won’t power off the protected outlets, just the unprotected ones. So there must be something wrong with the strip itself and not the battery
