I still shut the computer down though during bad storms, But i was wondering if this mad a difference at all now that i have a protector.
Should i shut my computer down during bad lightining storms even with a power surge protector?

I recently found out that i have fault wiring in my house by using the power surge protector i just bough. It showed the red light indicating for fault wiring. As right now all the electric in my house still work fine and it has been for 5 years now… so is it okay to continue using it the way they are? Will the power surge protector still protect surge as it suppose to even if it detech fault wiring? Can anyone tell me what’s the possible outcome with fault wiring?

My son was watching TV this morning and the TV just shut off and the monster surge protector was lit still but making a ringing noise. I tried plugging everything in to soemthing else and everything is working but the TV. Do you think I blew the TV out? Can that be fixed? It’s 52″ in high def if that matters.
