I have a 98 gmc sierra 2500 with a vortec 350. I cleaned the battery terminals & cables. It runs fine when it starts. If I let the truck sit for a couple of days without driving it the battery goes dead. I do have a remote start and stereo w/ amp also. I went to checker and had them test my battery and they said it was fine. Im not sure if I believe them or not. I am just wondering what would cause the battery to lose its power.

What is the backup fuse for on an 06 honda civic?

I recently installed an remote start, then suddenly my battery was completely dead a week later, I replaced the battery and had the car tested and it turns out there is a power drain on the battery when the car is off, the guys at Advanced Auto Parts said that it was probably the remote start sucking power when the car was off, so I went back to the remote start place and they said the drain wasn’t the remote start, they unplugged the “backup” fuse and the drain disappeared, does anyone know what the backup fuse is for???

I have a remote start on my 2000 Toyota Camry that mysteriously stops working from time to time? ?

It’s not the battery, as I’ve tried using the backup remote also. Any trouble shooting ideas on how to fix it?
