uninterrupted power supply UPS?

You should get about 2 hours of backup. It’ll work fine. (I use a small one for my modem, router and cordless phone base.)

Yes, anything that can support the voltage will work. The UPS is a AC/DC and then a DC/AC converter, basically. WIth a battery to support it.
Just remember, most “transformers” that convert power from A/C to D/C use power ALL OF THE TIME, even when the device plugged into them is turned off. To unplug the UPS would mean it does not keep a full charge.
Also, most small UPS such as a 300 would only give you about 15-20 minutes of reliable power (maybe more with just the tv, but not much more).
Personally, its not worth the extra expense and the electricity costs for 20 minutes of tv while the power is off.
