What is a back up cell phone battery?

Today I accidently put my cell phone through the washer. I dried it out as best as I could with a blow dryer. The screen doesn’t light up, the little window out the outside of the phone isnt lighting up as bright, the speaker doesnt play very loud and it wont recieve any service. It said on the screen to replace the back up battery at the service provider place. What exactly does that mean? I’ve never heard of it.

i hate to tell your this but your phone is broke. the water damage proble put a fulse message up. there is no back up battery in a cell phone only the one you have in it. a back up battery is an attachment that you add to where your charge your phone its used just to make sure your phone dont die. sorry man best bet is to get a new one the bad news again if its water damaged your insurence wont work there is a small sticker in your phone that changes color when you get it wet. even if you take it out they no you fu-cked with it sorry man try ebay for a new one
