I'm just speaking from experience. I've got a Samsung Laptop some months ago and it says it has 3 hours of battery life. But it turns out that it has only 2 hours or so of battery life. And my battery life doesn't decrease. So i suggest you go down to Dell, make a fuss there and request for another battery as long as you has the warranty. I've got a friend who works in such electrical appliances store, and she told me that it is certainly worth making a fuss about these kind of things, and the fuss would get you some great offer, in most of the cases.
