my acer aspire 4930 laptop on full charge gives me only 2.15 hrs of battery even when i keep it idle .i even tried fully charging and discharging it but its still the same. is it fine? or should it give longer backup as it is a newly purchased one.
first time, it let it charge for about 7 hours or so.

Mine only lasts less than an hour, but I think that’s the right amount of time.
It also depends when you first get your battery your meant to let the battery charge for 24 hours or over night even if it says its fully charged. Did you leave it charge for a while when you first got the battery?

hi i too have an acer laptop….generally it gives me about 2 hrs back up..but if kept idle its upto 2.30 hrs or more..
u can increase ur back up time by reducing ur screen brightness( the back will increase by 15-20 mins atleast)..
so i can say u have decent back up time…
also please use ur power cable wherever possible instead of battery backup as these batteries have limited n.o of charging cycles and thus due to repeated charging and discharging the battery backup is also reduced..i have to face this problem on my hp laptop..it gives me just 45 -50 mins back up..
