certainly that depends on the use you are doing of the harddrive and all peripherals, is not the same to edit a document or view a vdv movie on your laptop. I use to remanufacture batteries for laptops in argentina but I m in USA, the times you are stating are quite old , but not much away of the reality, if you want a terrific performance you should buy a laptop wich permit you to put two or more batterues inside, some ones let you take off the dvd and put a batery instead. and , if possible and the money is not an obstacle, try to ise li ion polymer battery, you will finiosh paying more than the actual cost of your laptop, but you will get like 8 /10 hours may be, this is teoretically. and you should learn to tweak the energy savings of your laptop. bye!
